Genre(s): Action   Fantasy   Komödie   Liebe/Romantik    Inhalt: Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) ist eigentlich ein relativ normaler Twen aus Toronto, lebt mit seinem schwulen WG-Genossen Wallace (Kieran Culkin) zusammen und ist Bassist bei der Rockband "Sex-Bob-omb". Aber er ist jetzt schon eine ganze Weile solo und das hat ihn schließlich dazu geführt, eine Romanze mit dem Schulmädchen Knives Chau (Ellen Wong) zu beginnen, auch wenn die halbe Welt ihm wegen ihres Alters davon abrät. Doch immer wenn man sich gerade auf so etwas eingelassen hat, taucht vor einem die absolute Traumfrau auf: Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Amazon-Liefergirl, hat es ihm aus dem Stand angetan. Und tatsächlich scheint sie nicht abgeneigt zu sein, mit ihm seine Zeit zu verbringen, doch eine echte Beziehung kommt für sie nicht in Frage. Denn wer mit Ramona etwas anfangen will, muß zunächst ihre sieben bösen Exfreunde besiegen, die sich vorgenommen haben, jegliches Liebesleben zu zerstören. Und während eines "Battle of the Bands"-Wettbewerb um einen wichtigen Plattenvertrag kriegt Scott mit seiner Band und seinen Freunden bald mehr als genug Gelegenheit, sich seiner Haut für seine große Liebe zu erwehren, denn die Exfreunde kommen einer nach dem anderen in die Stadt...
